パプアニューギニア事業：「お産を待つ家」のキッチンルーム建設

前回は、妊婦さんが滞在する部屋（３部屋）の様子をご紹介しましたが、今回は長期間滞在するのに不可欠な「キッチンルーム」をご紹介します。

パプアニューギニアの山岳地帯ではコンロとしてドラム缶を半分に切ったものを使います。なるべく現地の方達の文化に即した使いやすい物を用意するように勤めています。

建設に協力してくださっている、地元の方々に感謝しつつ、妊婦さんが安全な出産を迎えることができるようHANDSはこれからも一緒に活動します。

In the previous post, we introduced the three rooms where pregnant women stay. This time, we’d like to show you the kitchen room, which is essential for long-term stay.
In the highlands of Papua New Guinea, people often use half-cut drums as stoves. We try to prepare items that are practical and familiar to the local culture.
